Direct CD problem

I had a direct CD saving files on it. Last night I tried to store a file.

It then stopped installing the files and went back to the directory and there was only 1 file listed.
I tried listing the dir numerous times and only 1 file was listed.

I then tried Direct CD Scandisk. It then said it made a correction and then all was ok according to Scandisk.

I then tried to store a file on the Direct CD and the message then said Disk is Full.

Anyone have any help on this probllem ?

Packet writing programs like DirectCD, InCD and FileCD all tend to be very flakey. If DirectCD Scandisk can't fix in (that program never fixed any of the problems I had) your only option is to copy your data off it and and re-format it (do a quick format).

Unless you really need to update the files on your CD-RW disc often I would just burn it as a regular data cd using Nero or EzCD Creator. If you want to add to it, just copy your data off, do a quick erase on it and reburn it. Your data is much safer this way since you won't have to deal with DirectCD's flakeyness. Also when you use packet writing on a disc you loose over 100MB of space to overhead, a 650MB disc will only have about 540MB of usable space after formating

Direct CD has always been and continues to be a problem. My advice - get rid of it!

I second the vote to toss Direct CD. There's afew good ones you can get for next to nothing, or nothing. I dont think Ive heard one good thing about that prog.
