Direct cable conection using USB

I often use parallel cable connection to transfer data friom my lapton to my PC.

But it's very..very borred and 'lemmmot' (very.. very..slow), "like a snail climbs The Fujiyama..."

Please tell me the fastest way to exchange the data..

by the way, we know the new interface using usb. Could you tell me how to make cable connection ( like parralel cable) using USB ?
How is the scheme of the cable & connector ?
What software or driver can I use to connect my laptop to my PC using USB to USB.

hmmmmmm....good question. I have been planning on netwroking my laptop and desktop together for quite some time now. I was wondering about the USB connectivity myself. What I'm probably going to do is buy a 10/100 PCMCIA NIC since I already have a 10/100 NIC in my desktop. If I hear anything regarding the USB connection, I'll post it here.
