DirecPC Help...

The only way I ever solved that says "An error occurred attempting to load Bicdd32.dll" error was to completely uninstall and reinstall the DirecPC software. Even though Hughes says the ICS will work with DirecPC I didn't have much luck so I'm using Comsocks and it works perfectly doing NAT and DCHP. I run it all on an old P-200 which acts as a gateway server for my network and served as a personal proxy server when I was doing RC5 and now runs SetiQ.
I'm suprised the DirecPC support people haven't had you uninstall and reinstall, that seems to be their answer for every other problem.

I spent months trying to get ICS to work with direcpc 3.0. I even tried a trial period downloads of winproxy and winroute, both seemed to work OK. But that would be more software I would have to maintain.

End result direcpc with ICS will not work, even though they advertise that it does. I even had support from Hughes corporate that couldn't get it to work. Over 20 calls in 30 days.

I had to upgrade to Win2Kpro, I complained and they gave me several months of service free to offset the cost. Then they stopped offering local ISP for the return side where I'm at. I had to go with XO (unlimited nationwide $86 for 6 months)
I got more free months of service for that.

I haven't paid for over 7 months.

The two-way arrives here today.

The only way a buddy of mine could get it to work was to run WinProxy. We did have trouble setting it up so ICQ would work right. Everything else seemed to work fine, even mIRC.

I wish you luck!

Hughes did have me re-install direcpc and ics numerous times, then they reffered me to microsoft :|!

Right now I use the AnalogX proxy, it works great but theres no ftp support. Are there any free proxies with ftp support?

Be sure to manually go in and wipe out any DirecPC directories left after a uninstall and then be sure to do a reboot. There is a web site with a message board that might be able to help here.
