DIR-825 dropping internet connection.

Hey guys.

After hooking up my computer directly to the cable modem, I found out my router was causing some speed issues. I went ahead and upgraded the firmware, and that seemed to help tremendously; however, now every 30 min to an hour, the internet connection just drops for every device on the network and doesn't seem to come back until I reset the cable modem.

Any ideas? The router is a rev. B if that makes a difference and I upgraded to firmware 2.06.

Much thanks in advance.

* Is it dropping connection on wired, wireless or both?
* Is the router running cool and have good ventilation?
* Is the cable from the modem to the router new?

- I haven't checked wired, so I'll try that next time.
- Yes, it should have plenty of ventilation and isn't that warm to the touch.
- Actually, it might be. A Time Warner tech just replaced the modem a couple days ago. Not sure if he used a different cable.

* When the internet connection drops does the network still allow sharing between devices conneted to it?
* Could the "new" modem be at the root of the problem?

- Yes, the network appears to work fine.
- I'm starting to think this might be it. When it goes out, I have to reset the modem or it stays down for 5-10 minutes. If I reset it, it comes back fairly quickly.
