Anywho, so I was digging through my closet and I came across all of my old Dinotopia books. I used to be uber obsessed with them. Anybody else read em?

yup. Got them. Loved the illustrations. I actually had mine signed by the author/illustrator - he drew little freehand drawings that were damn impressive. Little sub in one, long necked dino in the other. Not much of a good read but they sure give you lots to look at.
