DIMES

I'll confirm that. Now, does it find more AS nodes and links using ICMP or TCP (UDP)?

Not that I really understand what the AS nodes and links mean, but since it is a stat, I want 'em. 🙂

Well that's good news for a lot of people! 🙂

LOL! I feel the same way! 😀

 dayum stats addicts....

sweet, now I can actually do something in DIMES 🙂

although it looks like some of my pings are still being blocked by something, or is it normal to get "INFO: Destination host didn't reply" after some of the pings?

CP, I get that all the time - "..didn't reply" It just means one of the targets is configured to not respond to pings (like my own router).

Assimilator - DIMES works using either ICMP or TCP protocol, your choice. Their ICMP implementation was flawed and so they disabled it for several months. Some routers have trouble with passing the data, so they give you a choice of protocol.

oops, in my responses, where I said TCP I should have said UDP. It was UDP that my old router had trouble with - I knew something didn't sound right but was too lazy to check at the time.
