Dimes: TeAm AnandTech moves into fifth place

WOW!!!
And I was contemplating shutting down Dimes on my 3.06ghz box. 😱

With moves like that, there is no way I'm jumping ship. 😉

Sorry I ever contemplated letting TeAm down. :Q 😕

Sounds good to me

Great! This looks really good. 🙂
I got one PC crunching away - that is what my ISP does not mind to. :Q
But I've got the Mac-wrinkles ironed out too 😀 .
But the Mac's DIMES is so slow! The comp is as fast as as a Indy race car, but DImes? Slower than cooked molasses 🙁 OTOH: before this, the client did not even work ...
So: if anybody wants to try the Mac client ...

Cool Peter, did you post how you did it on the Dimes forum? Or is that how you found out how to do it? If I remember correctly, I thought nobody had been able to get it to work for Mac. Or was that for Linux??? 😕

Well, it is the Linux version that requires a lot of tweaking. I got that one working too, but that required a recompile of the code with my libraries. There is a place (can't find it now - must look for it later) which is really good on Linux and Dimes ... 🙂
No, the Mac version had a few really bad bugs. Etan and collaborators bounced a few versions between us (they do the coding, I do the testing and cursing) and now it is better, not quite to my satisfaction though. But I do not think that there is any program which is completely to my satisfaction (Photoshop and Avast AV come closest though ...)

Congrats, team.🙂

Looks like a server or two went down right after that. No stats, no new work units for 8+ hours. 🙁
