DIMES Stats question...

So I was just wondering...I switched over 2 rigs to DIMES and they've run up 7000 points between them the past 24+ hours, and the stats page had recorded each agent's individual scores, but hasn't given me any points yet. How often to they sum up the agents' scores and give me the points, or is something wrong?

I think the main stats page update is somewhat sporadic on occasions ,but I'll let someone with more knowledge than me give a difinitive answer ;)

Yeah, thanks. It's updated now, but it took about 36 hours. I'm used to F@H, so I guess I just need to be more patient. MTV generation, not my fault. ;)

For the past two days or so the stats page has been pretty sporadic. It usually updates once every hour. I am referring to the Free DC Page here. This is the page I use the most.

Stats started "catching up" around 4pm PST today. Unfortunately, I have a few boxes dead right now. I *did* build a nice 3700+ shuttle system as my sisters Christmas present this last weekend. It's currently in "burn-in" until this coming Saturday with E@H and Dimes. :)

It is *so* quiet.

We need all the help we can get. It is a race between Xtreme Systems and Crunchers Inc. to see who will pass us first.

Yea that's what I thought ,'what's he on about?'
I guess he's from one of the rival teams?

Assim, it's funny how people from other teams come over to our DC forums and make bold statements and then they don't have the courage to identify what team they are with.:Q Like you, I am proud of this TeAm and have no problem saying which team I am on. :D

I do know there is a "Nettwerk" with the Xtremesystems team. There is nobody by the name of Venemous on either of the teams catching us.

Well it's either Xtreme systems or crunchers Inc. Most of us aren't a big fan of vmware and neither my isp or my wife wouldn't be very happy about it if I eat up more bandwidth then I already do with the fourteen machines I have running it at home now.

Well, your wife would be much happier if you were able to cut the operating costs of all 14 rigs. VMware is a good thing.. I dont know why youre not a fan of it but if you were, you could do some damage with 14 machines. Are you running any other projects besides dimes?

Of course. I wouldn't waste power just for dimes.

VMWAre is a program that can allow you to run more than one instance of an operating system or different operating systems at the same time on one pc. For DIMES this is advantageous because you can then run several instances at the same time. The link for VMWare is here. The VMWare player is free to use. There is a good guide on how to set it up here.

Ah I see ,thanks.
I'll stick to a single client of Dimes I think ;)...........though I might put it on my 2nd PC now that it has Win XP

Yeah, one of the attractive things about DIMES for me was that I could run it ALONGSIDE my F@H clients, but I don't suppose VMWare and F@H would be too compatilbe with each other? Mapping the internet is cool and all, but I'd rather not pull boxes away from cancer for it.
