Im considering the HD4850 at the moment. Obviously the stock cooler isnt going cut it, so you guys have to help me out with some of the dimensions.

Ok, so there are two things i want to know.

First is the length from outer edge of the first inductor (the small grey box if you dont know what it is) to the opposite outer edge of the second inductor.

Second is the width/length of the 4 VRMs (corner to corner). (4 small black box, and there are 2 groups of these).

Here is the picture of the dimensions i want

Thanks guys.

O, actually that is very helpful. The only reason i want the dimensions is because i want to what kind of mofset/ram heatsinks (that is available to me) i can use to cool them.

The light grey ones likely don't need a heatsink as they don't get very hot....the black VRMs though... :Q I have 2 copper ramsinks artic pasted(1 per group of 4) and they fit quite nicely. It still gets pretty damn hot but I'm sure it's cooler than with the stock heatsink. Been working great for me with 1.5vgpu @ 950MHz. Got a 120mm fan blowing at the pwm area of both cards.

The copper thermaltake or swiftech ramsinks would probably be just fine(at least with artic paste...er...glue).

Yeah, im thinking of getting some swifttech ramsinks, but they are expensive over here compared to the zalman ones. Might just go grab the zalman ones since i dont think copper sinks make enough of a difference to warrant their large cost.

Yea Swiftech makes some nice products. May not be available to you, but Enzotech makes some nice ramsinks too. Here's a decent selection for reference.

The Zalman's work fine. As Sentry said the light grey things don't get hot and could prolly go bare with decent airflow. The little black ones get warm, but with some airflow the Zalman's work just fine, stays warm to the touch. They have very good adhesive on them too. It's not the super thin cheap stuff. Just in case you didn't want to use Arctic adhesive. That shiot works great but is like super glue.. :)
