What part of "all sales final" was hard for you to comprehend?
:biggrin:What part of "all sales final" was hard for you to comprehend?
The problem is those without much like yourself, feel threatened by someone like me
I hate when CSR folks infer you are lying when you return damaged goods.
In that transaction I had an issue that I didn't think was my fault and that the "all sales final" clause have an exception made or at least a bit of concern to my plight.

Weird. I've never seen a sticker tag on a dress shirt in a store. They always seem to have hang tags on them. (which can cause holes too if not put in the proper place)No magnetic tags. The hole was covered by sticker with I think a upc on it.
I agree, "all sales are final" screams "buyer beware" - you ain't getting a refund under any circumstances if you buy this usually deeply discounted item.while i agree. IF something is sold as NEW but is used i would be pissed off too and demand a refund.
But i look at what i buy. if its any different from the others in the pile i don't grab it.

Oic, when you said it had a UPC on it I thought it was a price tag.The sticker had nothing to do with the shirt other than conceal the hole. It is my assumption it was a damage marker for a return that somehow got put back on the shelf.

BS, that anyone would conceal a hole with a sticker. A "damage marker" shouldn't conceal the damage. 😕
Talking about dropping $40-50k on a car over in Garage then saying how much money you drop at Dillard's, then complaining about a hole in a $30 shirt when the receipt said "all sales final" doesn't make sense...

I think most in the 100k+ income range
i can't bare to read this whole thread.... : /It was definitely odd, I was polite about it all(until basically being called a list three to four times). I was expecting either to just exchange for the same shirt or being told politely they can't take anything back because of the posted terms.
She choose to act like queen of the kingdom (rolling her eyes as she reviewed my receipts) and being confrontational (you must have worn and damaged this shirt because WE'D never sell something like that).
Her latter remark should have been her indicator a mistake was made and I wasn't trying to scam them over a shirt.
It wasn't the hole in the shirt that was the issue, please pay attention.
I think most in the 100k+ income range would want another shirt if they found damage prior to wearing/washing it.
I just read that thread...LOL!

so, in short, what is your course of action? did you just leave the store b/c she was a bitch? do you still have the shirt?
Just sayin'...most people willing to drop that much cash on a car don't give a crap about a $30 shirt.

just sayin' you have no clue.
I think it would've been worth the effort to ask for the manager. Maybe not get her fired, unless she has done this to other customers too and needs to be fired, but to have her be reprimanded. (Also, you'd get a refund/exchange)course of action was to let her know I would not be back and why bother to take the shirt...
There is nothing they could of done short of terminating that woman which i would think petty over this. My choice is to just share that story when possible.
It's really not a big deal, not like I was locked into Dillards anyway...the sale brought me in and had me reconsidering it. There are plenty of retail shops in S. Florida though.
