Dilemma - C&C:3 for PC or 360?

Please don't suggest option #3 - hook PC to TV. Too many factors keeping me from doing it. I dont care to explain.

Anyway, the 360 version is out or will be out in the next couple of days. I haven't downloaded the 360 "demo" yet cause I heard it was just a video.

I'm about an 80/20 PC to console gamer, and I guess I'm looking for a good rts to keep me interested in my 360 (since all I play are sports games and occasional GoW), and take advantage of my hdtv.

I'm skeptical of a port, and of RTS controls on a console, but willing to give it a shot. Friend of mine bought the recent LOTR RTS and said the controls were surprisingly well done.

Some objective opinions? (please no fanbois)

PC, I don't really take screen size into consideration since you sit so close to a monitor. It is not a 2 player game(unless you are online) so console does not have that party atmosphere that many other games do.

And the biggest factor, controls, mouse and keyboard just work better. Console might be a nice compromise if your computer can not handle the game, or if you are not a PC gamer, but if given the choice, stick with PC for RTS.

The latest EGM has a review on C&C3 for the 360. If you've played BFME2 for the 360, you might have some idea of the control scheme. Appearantly, they did a pretty good job, but with larger campaign battles it is still far too hard to control fast enough.

I'd try the 360 demo or rent it before purchasing but would lean heavily toward the PC initially.

No poll?

My answer however, is to play with KB+Mouse ... but I'm heavier into the PC games anyway, so I'm biased.

Just FYI - in case anyone cared...

Picked up LoTR:Battle for ME on 360 this weekend (used/cheap) since it supposedly has the same controls/engine. Holy frustration batman. Looked like a fun PC game, but it's utter hell on a console.

Next day I picked up C&C:3 PCDVD. 😛

(Decent game BTW. Never played the previous gen. But IMHO, it's kind of a soulless, more bland SC clone w/ better graphics. The live acting segments are painful - the cheap sets and acting to the camera rather than another person... brutal. Plus, I thought Billy Dee Williams was dead, and truth be told, based on that appearance, he might be and just doesn't know it).
