Dilema between these two mother boards

Hi, I'm having a hard time deciding between this 2 motherboards.

Asrock z87 extreme3

and

Gigabyte GA Z87 HD3

I will need them for a 1150 procesor, 8gb ddr3 2113 ram, and a R9 290

I would like the optical audio output of the Asrock, but as I have been told the asrock have a reputation of being cheaply made, and have less perfomance. How good will each one be for 2 amd cards?

I think either would do you fine, and would work find with 290 crossfire. I have been pleased with gigabyte before, and some people swear by ASrock.

I can't say for sure which is better, but to help you make a decision, I would consider warranty, support, etc, in your country between the 2. Good luck, both should be fine boards.

Both are good.but myself i would go with gigabyte

I think i will go for the gigabyte too, it lacks the optical audio but I will trust that its better made than the asrock

Gigabyte is certainly the bigger of the two firms. The failure rate data and customer service reports suggest Asrock is actually the better company, but equally not all of their boards are good. Make sure you look into reviews, do forum searchs, check the manufacturers forums etc for users of these boards. Just make sure as you do that you adjust for the volume difference, you are expecting 5x as many complaints about the Gigabyte board compared to the Asrock.
