digital with my SB Live! 5.1?

I'm lookin to get the Logitech Z-5500s, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get digital output from the speakers with the current sound card (Soundblaster Live! MP3+ 5.1) .. I'm not looking to upgrade the sound card yet btw.. Where would I hook up the digital optical cable on the sound card from the control pod?

ok, did a little research and just want to see if this is correct..

I plug this Y-adapter or this inline adapter in the digital out on my sound card.. Then plug this digital coax cable in the adapter and then connect the other end of the coax into the control pod?

If this is correct, which adapter would be better? Thanks

This cable will do everything you need.

Be aware though that to get surround audio from games, you will need to use the analog connection.
