digital voice recorders: Good or not?

I'm thinking about getting one for school. Take notes, tape classes D), etc.

I'm looking at office max and they have some pretty good deals.

There is this one by Olympus: here

And another by Panasonic: here

both are voice activated, which is cool. And at decent prices. I like the Olympus one more because it's smaller and looks cooler, albeit more expensive.

Just wondering if you guys think I'll get much use out of it. I don;t want to waste $50+ on something I won't use. So if anyone has ever used these before and think they are good, please tell me

Also, is there any other places to buy these at better prices?

Sorry I didnt see you're reply last night...
Its about $240
Expensive.. but I want it bad.

The battery on the CW300 has about 30 hours life from a single AA battery.
This thing is simply amazing.


Is there any other MP3 players that have voice recording???
