I don't think so. I am ridiculing a common obsession self-haters have, that because they do something right, like be self-reliant, they automatically become superior beings entitled to ridicule others. Such hypocrites aren't self reliant at all because they require the denigration of others to elevate their own estimation of their self esteem. I suggest that really self reliant people don't have this childish need and don't rush into threads making asses of themselves putting down others. And because they lack any self aware shame, I'm happy to supply some.

Spend much time reading self help books or on a shrink's couch Moonbeam?

Not that there's anything wrong with that, but this is fucking digital TV, we've put off the transition for decades, anyone that's not ready won't be getting ready anytime soon...

I don't need a psychiatrist or a book to tell me that I can't know what you think you know about other people. I have no idea who will or will not be ready or why nor do I need to. I think you somehow feel a need to feel superior and look down at others, those sad, never get ready folk. It helps you fancy yourself as on the ball. I think it emotionally immature.

And spouting off truisms and proving your own self hate by attacking others anonymously on an internet forum completes you?

Oh, I forgot, you're the zen master, dispensing your crap in a thread about digital TV.

You're not even on topic, you're just trying to rub people's noses in your belief system, you help no one reach enlightenment, much less yourself, you simply portray yourself as enlightened (and oh so much better than the rest of all the self haters).

Look inside Moonbeam, you're projecting your self hate on everyone else around you.

Back on topic, I can almost understand the delay, with the FCC tasked with managing the spectrum that's a public resource, but it's insane to take this long to make the switch.

What you call an attack I call a factual description. It is you who are projecting, you who aren't pleased to see who you are. I can't tell you anything about yourself I haven't already seen in me.

And as for your opinion, "I can almost understand the delay, with the FCC tasked with managing the spectrum that's a public resource, but it's insane to take this long to make the switch.", why do you suppose you think like that and why am I supposed to care? Have you some expertise in the matter, a degree in how long things should take, for example, that would add any relevance to your views?

I myself am of the view that if they delay or not, I don't care. Did that little tidbit somehow round out your day? No, I think not, but my other musings got your attention somehow.

Remember too, it's the Zen Master and not the unenlightened who knows the way, right, so it rather silly to call me one and then provide advice on what I should or shouldn't say. You see again your arrogance?

i think there is a newer thread than this, but this is the only one i coudl find

after doing some linking, most of the local analog stations are going down before the transition, and aren't changing their plans and the mandatory date gets pushed back. I wonder if this is the norm for many markets?
