Don't be afraid of the brand, i flashed my bios to a different brand and it worked flawless for a couple months..
 
Hmm, I don't much care for the cd drives at all. I bought one that was free after rebate, 56x cdrom drive, it died about 6months after I got it, I then sent it in and received the replacement a couple of months later, which died just a few months later and they would not fix it because they claimed it was out of warrenty, or so they said, even though I still had a few months left. I am not going to purchase this drive unless it is just rebadged liteon or some other better brand.
