Digital Rebel cannot use flash

villager

Senior member
I just got Digital Rebel and tried to use a sandisk 1g and 64 meg disk but each time I get a error 2. When I try to format it the camera continues to hang in error two and I cannot get to the format CF option. Anyone know how to format a flash disk for a canon digital.
Thanks

Maybe you have a defective camera? At first I thought your flash wasn't firing or your external flash wasn't firing.

The flash works in my pc. But the camera just cant seem to address the flash or a least gets hung up on the error two message.

try formatting it out of the camera

Could have swore I read that doing that may make the CF unusable in the camera on certain brands. The story (as I remember it) said to always format it in the camera your going to use it in.

Seems kinda dumb to me but .....I dunno for sure.
