Nope. Only way I can possibly think that you'd tell the difference is if you had a very expensive sound system or headphones (think Ultimate Ears) and MAYBE you would be able to hear the difference.

technically, yes. in reality, no. supposdly there is a difference, yet human ears can't here the difference. therefore, for u, me, and all the other human AT members, there is no difference.

Not for -most- songs.

I use FLAC because:
- it gives me peace of mind to know there are no compression artifacts
- it acts as a backup of my collection
- storage is cheap. I ripped my 1,000 CDs into 300 GB of space
- transcoding to other formats, like to 192kbps mp3 for my Zen xtra, doesn't add lossy-to-lossy compression artifacts (quality is the same as ripping from CD)
