Lot of members here prefer Canon digital cameras,however there are lots of good ones from Olympus,Pentax ,Nikon,Sony etc,it really is down to price,size and features like mega pixel rating,type of memory card ,shooting modes etc you want.

I would suggest you go to DCResource and Steve`s-digicams for models and reviews.

Canon wise the A70 is a good 3.2 MP camera,the A60 is the same but has a 2MP rating,higher models like S400 and S45 (both 4MP cameras) are also worth a look.
