Not a smaller aperture. A higher F-Stop. F-Stop is a ratio between focal length and aperture. For a given aperture opening, a longer focal length creates a higher F-Stop.Originally posted by: Sid59

ok i think i figured out what bothered me about the oringal post you posted from me.
all regular lens have a fixed focal length. only lenses than have variable focal lengths are those that are telephoto or of the simialr vein. The lenses that can change from Xmm to XXmm.
