I don't think I'd ever buy a Gigital Camera

On a more serious note, DSC-T5 or SD450, I voted DSC-T5

I've had a Cybershot and an Exilim... the Cybershot takes good pictures everywhere, the Exilim requires minor setting changes to get good pictures in different settings. But the Exilim auto-focuses on things better and it's way smaller, so I take it with me more often. I do prefer the cameras that don't require cradles though...

I want the Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II

If I can't have that then I at least would like the EOS 5D

I owned a Canon S400 for 2.5 years without incident, decided to get a new one (ok I got envious of my buddy's new SD450, so I upstaged him with the SD550 ;)) - but right when i was getting ready to sell/give away my S400, i get the dreaded Memory Card Error, ugh!!! now i have to do open heart surgery on it in order to get it working. I guess my S400 was upset that I had gotten a new toy ;)

So, yeah, Canon = good..or not?

I love my canon SD200. And my parents love their Canon A75. The A75 even survived a few seconds submerged in a lake. I wouldn't buy anything but Canon cameras. The SD 450 looks awsome.

I vote SD450.

Can't go wrong with a Canon.

Pretty much sums up the canon fanboys on these forums.
If you're trying to look for an accurate and objective consensus on these forums for cameras, I don't think you'll get it ;)

Anyways, I doubt most people voting even know about more than 1-2 cameras on that list at most, so they'll generally choose what they know. So I think it's best that you do research yourself and find what suits you best rather than look for a consensus here.

Anyways, I chose the Casio Exlim.

Hard choice for me too, but I have to go with the Oly for a P&S because it is compact ++ dust/sand proof & water proof.
