I have a friend not too smart on computers and he just bought a Samsung digital camera. When I connect the camera to his desktop system via USB, it recognizes it as a removable disk and asks me "What do you want to do?" and you can open it with any number of programs.
When I connect it to his laptop via USB, the computer just beeps and you do not get the prompt. He has to click My Computer, Removable disk "G" drive and retrieve the pics manually. Is there a way to get his laptop to prompt you - What you want to do, so that he can open the folder to view the pics easily.
I have tried going into the properties and to the AutoPlay tab on the removable drive and checking prompt me each time to choose action, but it does not work. I have also tried re-installing the software & drivers. I cannot find new drivers on Samsung site for the camera.
Any help would be appreciated......
