Digital Camera Question

I'm still looking to buy a digital camera so of course i would check with the all knowning beings that surf ATOT.

Is the Minolta S414 A good camera? I read the review on imaging resource and while he recommends it and says its nice he also says things like 'nice for a Minolta' which makes me worry a bit.

The other choice is the Canon A70 which i know is a good camera, but i haven't been able to find a good deal on one.

If I can get both for the same price which one should i get?



I'm trying for $200 but will pay $250 if push comes to shove i suppose.

That reviewer seemed to really like the S414 also, why would you prefer the A70?

I bought the S414 from the for sale forum. Should be here on Monday. It's gonna be a HUGE step up from my old Olympus.
