Anyone know any good sites that explain some of the specs of digital cameras? Like Aperture Range? What is a good range to have? What is a good shutter speed to have?

Those are all features of regular cameras.

The only digital-specific features are sensor resolution, equivalent ISO speed, max exposure time (related to dark noise in the sensor), and read-out delay
