I need some advice on purchasing a digital camera. I'm a college student that needs a portable camera to take pictures of friends and either store for memory or post them on his website.

Price range: $100-$200.
LCD: yes
connection: USB

I don't want a crappy digicam nor do I want one that has features I don't need like mp3, super high resolutions, etc. I hope anyone familar with digital cameras can help me find one that fits me and can better yet, find me a deal on it. Thanks.

Check this thread,I had a HP C315 but returned it because of it's poor close ups & lack of optical zoom.
I think I'll be getting the Toshiba model mentioned in the thread.

I have the Fuji Finepix 2300 , so far, it has been a pretty decent camera, i got it for around $230, but it should be alot cheaper now. You also might want to take a look at the Finepix 2400.

Finepix 2300:
2.1 mps,
1.6'' LCD

Hope this helps :)

For the best deals, check out www.tomshardware.com , they have a pretty decent digital camera section that you can sort by price.
