Currently i have DirectTV, but now adelphia is offering me a tempted package, which is $59.99 a yr, no contract, free setup and everything, but i want to know if term of quality, imiage, and services which one is better.. local channel is a big thing for my mom, bc my analog tv couldn't pick up some of the channal or it is not clear at all that's why i went for directv's loca channel thingy.. it is ultra crispy.. i wonder if the digtal cable would do the same sinec the rep told me that they just received the anaglog and trasmit it via digital cable.. wat the heck is a digital cable neway, do they offer like super crispy quality as dds ? thx !!

I've lived all over the country and I can tell you that Adelphia is the worst cable company I've ever had. And that was before they went bankrupt. Stick with the dish.

i have digital cable and was told the same thing you were from a tech. i got a pay-per-view movie, which i was told would be dvd quality. this is not the case, the video had so many artifacts, it looked like poor vcd quality, and the audio was just stereo, no 5.1. i am getting rid of it early next week. stay with dish...

I see those little sat.dishes going up all over the neighbourhood..so I guess many are dumping cable in favor of direct tv.

For just $60 a year, I'd get the digital cable. How much are you paying for the dish? $40-50 / month? Unless you have a typo or I'm reading it wrong because you use too many commas.

i've had both, personally i think the digital cable is better. adelphia did this thing where if u bought powerlink you could have all 80 movie channels for a one time payment of 5 bucks. i love it

I have the dish...

Cable is not really an option since I want the NFL package which is only on DirecTV.

I had analog cable before, and the dish wins hands down over that.

Dunno about the digital picture quality.

Yep and the price he was offered.

If I was offered cable for $60/yr I'd do it or a hefty discount on cable TV/cable internet I'd do it.
