DigiDoc5 vs. Hardware Monitor

Hi,

I just got my DigiDoc5 and have everything setup. All the settings seem okay except the CPU temp. My mobo is an Abit KR7A non-raid and i'm using the Winbond Hardware montior it came with to check my ambient and cpu temp. with digidoc5, it shows 22.4C (cpu) and 27.8C (ambient). However, with Winbond Hardware Montior, it shows 38.5C (cpu) and 25C (ambient).

System setup:
Full tower
4 IDE HDs 7200RPM
2 SCSI CDRoms (one is a CDR)
Antec pp403x (400W)
AMD XP 1600+ with Alpha 8045 AS2 (not overclocked)
Gainward GeForce 3 Ti200 Crystal Orb AS2 (not overclocked)
that's pretty much it for anything that would make the case hot
I'm using two 92mm ~40cfm. one for intake, one for exhaust

The way i have the flat probe setup is pretty much pointing right at the CPU. it is not on top of the core, but right next to it.

one other wierd thing is that one of my HDs is being reported at 52.9C! That cant possibly be right, can it? The way this one is setup is right on top of the HD near the molex connection.

n/m. i think i got the sensors mixed up. i thought the top was temp 1 and the bottom was temp 8. after reviewing the pdf file on the cd, it looks like it is the opposte way--8 on top, 1 on bottom.

even so, isnt 58.2C (it is reporting that now) wayyyy too hot considering ambient is 26C, i have decent ventalation, and using AS2 with a pal8045

btw, this is IDLE

k. i moved digidoc5 to the lowest 5.25" bay so i can read the thing (cant read it when it's above eye level) and it looks like i was reading the temp of my GPU (above).

anyone know if it's possible to stop it from cycling all the temps? there's only two i care about (cpu/gpu) and would like to manually choose them--and actually stay there. the reason i dont want it moving to every single temp reading is when i'm testing out my o/c and dont want to have to switch back to the cpu or gpu reading to see how high the temp is getting. it's annoying. (my other temps are northbridge, HDs 1-3, ram, ambient)
