Ive been out of the digital camera scene for a little while now... I am looking for a nice simple small point and shoot cam I can stick in my pocket on my upcoming excursions. I am partial to the canon brand, but am open to new things. Whats hot right now?

Canon SD series. As of last week you could've gotten a SD200 (3.3 MP, smaller than a credit card) for $200 AR at best buy

Canon is the best in my opinion, but that's because I have a 20D, G3, and G5.

Just look for sales. The A75 is good, my gf has that.

hehe, any deals that ARENT expired? :) are all the canon SD's the same size? what is the size difference btw them and the A-series. im looking up the stats right now, so i guess what i really want are peoples impressions of them if they have actually carried them. right now i have a G3, which is great and i continue to use it, but i want something a bit more portable as well.

i just purchased a SD200. My other camera is an A60. Hold up your credit card... i'm not lying when I say it's smaller. Not thinner of course, but smaller. Run down to bestbuy or wherever and play around with it for a couple of minutes. The size is unbelievable, and it takes great pictures. On pricegrabber you can still get the SD200 for around $220 shipped from reputable websites.

If it was any smaller, it'd slip through my fingers.

i see dell has had some killer deals on the SD series... but it seems their shipping takes a while (probably having a hard time keeping them in stock)... i kinda need it in 10 days :)

which SD were you looking for? After tax + waiting long time for shipping, bestbuy was still cheaper for me. The higher models (300, 400, 500) are probably cheaper at Dell, but not by much I dont think. Check pricegrabber, there are some good deals there if u dont want to wait forever
