This might sound stupid, but help me out. The pictures come out big on the computer screen. How can I make my pictures look normal on the computer screen without sacrificing quality by going down to a lower resolution?

I click 'enhance' then 'resize' photo, keeping the ratio/proportion the same.

Of course it would have helped to know what type of software you're using, and what model camera? I own the HP 318 Photosmart and use ACD Software.

i don't understand, in order to shrink a picture you inevitably need to lower its resolution, and thus its quality. doesn't matter all that much for showing stuff on webpages as long as u have the source picture so u can make high quality prints and stuff. otherwise u can use the zoom feature in many programs so u don't alter the original file at all
