The A70 and 80 are excellent digital cameras, but remember that you will also need a large memory card to take more than a couple of minutes. The A80 is about 350$ by itself.

You can see a video I recorded with my A60 Here. It was encoded to WMV, so there is some loss in video/audio quality.

If you're looking to take movies, you need a digicorder.

If you're looking to take pics and the occasional short movie, you can get a digicam.

video quality in digital cameras suck, and still picture quality in camcorders suck. so you gotta know your priority application and proceed from there.
