I don't know which forum to put so i think it should belong to video rpoduct, well, here it go.

Which of these camera got the best price to quality value? SD1000 with price match to bestbuy and 50 off for total of around 190, Sony w55 for 180 with 50 off for around 130, Fuji V10 for 140 with possible 30 dollar rebate and Fuji F20 at 150 with possible $30 rebate?

All of these seems ike very good camera and i do not know what to get. I guess Canon got the best advanatge since it take SD card which I got and they are cheap. Memory stick and xd can tend to get expensive

The real decider should be, which of these cameras takes the best pictures? I would not rely on the subjective anecdotal opinions on this forum for the answer. I would use Askey's DPR web site - that's where the pros hang out.

SD1000

Anyone know how does the w55 compare to canon sd1000? Canon is suppose to be the best but i read many negative review on it so i don't know anymore. Both Fuji seems good but their rebate is hit or miss so far from what I heard

OK - I guess I have to do your work for you. :) Go here for the W55 specs in detail. Then compare them to the SD1000 specs linked about. Buying a camera is not all about money - it is about value, and the value of a camera is how good the pictures are and what features it has.

I saw the review as well, but it is a mixed bad. Some calm w55 is excellent while other say sd100 is extrmely good, but say it is trash. While another oen say Fuji F20 offer the best bang for the buck

Buy it and take a test drive and take it back if you don't like the digicam quality in 14 days or less...that is what I did with first Powershot A520 then exchanged for A610 I have no regrets..I am in love with Canon! :)

From what i remember reading, isn't the SD1000 a lesser model than say the SD600-SD800? I personally own the SD600 and find it a fantastic performer for the price. I paid $155 for it during one of those crazy dell deals.

does your sd 600 have IS? i think it starts with the sd 700s up to the 900 right? those are supposed to kill everything in the compact range.. not sure sure about your sd 600. the sd 1000 is nice if you can get it for 150 (like dell let it fly a couple of days ago). it has no IS but it's a great compact otherwise.

I end up getting F20 for 99 from the insane dell deal and with possibility of getting the 30 dollar rebate, which made it a 70 bucks camera, it is a smoking deal,
