Digging this new utorrent UI

Instead of people mailing you floppy disks with data, you use these apps to transfer the data through the internet tubes directly into your computer.

LOL, that's not what he's referring to. uTorrent now has support for 'apps'. Whatever that means.....

I prefer the old GUI.

Honestly, this is pretty much the same GUI with different icons and colors, which I don't really like. It also has useless features like torrent search and apps.

Yeah what I liked about the old utorrent was that it was bare-bones. Now it's gimmicky looking and has some bloated ad-ons. Seems like programs that become popular always do this. I suppose it's to pay for development costs though.

So make that 2 people voting for the old uTorrent

another vote for old utorrent. methinks this has something to do with the shift in owners, though admittedly it was some time ago.

You can revert to the old theme in utorrent very easy.

First, go to Preferences > Advanced > gui.color_progress_bars and set to false to change it back to old style.
Then, under options uncheck "show apps, and show find pane." To get rid of the links.

Last, to get the old icons back use this:
http://download.utorrent.com/utorrent.2.0.4-v2.btskin
Save it and double click to import to utorrent.

If you want to go back to the new skin, then delete current.btskin from %AppData%\uTorrent

There isn't a convenient 'reset skin' button.

Im not sure why people download a separate client when BT comes with its own that is very nice. I suppose these are the same people that run many software firewalls.

Ever use other clients? I may be out of date but when I was looking for a client, I found alot of them to be clumsy. uTorrent was easy to use and had a good layout
