Difficulty Connecting New Computer to Internet

I recently finished building my computer but it will not connect to the internet. I used a Asus P5Q motherboard and Vista 64bit. I know my router is working because I have two other computers connected on the same network. When I look under device manager it doesn't even have any "Network Adapters" listed. Is this a simple driver problem?

First off, please do not cross post, I have locked your other posts.

Second, I presume this is an oboard nic? Is it enabled in the bios? If so, you likely see an 'unknown device' in device manager, thats probably the nic and you need to supply the correct drivers to enable it.

You have to install the Ethernet port drivers on the Asus driver cd that came with your mobo.

(I just bought the P5Q Pro and forgot to do that at first)

If it is an Onboard NIC make sure that it is On in the BIOS.

Otherwise you are right if you have a working card it probably drivers.

This was written for WinXP but the principles are the same for Vista.
