Different Temp reading?

I'm running my XP2800+ at 3000+ on the A7N8X Deluxe. And I noticed that the CPU temp in the bios is reading 49-52 C, while the Asus Probe in windows reads around 42-47C. So which of the 2 reading is accurate??
 
Maybe both!😉

If your using Win2k or XP they both have 'software coolers' which shutdown parts of the cpu when there is no real load on ,hence lower temps.When your in the bios there is no software like that to cool it down.

What temps do you get in windows if you load it with SETI or Prime95 ?
