yes but did you use a sata drive, i have to use a sata controller since my hard drives are sata, with ide that doesnt matter but with sata controllers it does. It doesnt matter what type of xp i use, its all new software that no xp retail or oem has on them because of the south bridge that controls the sata on the board will not have drivers on windows xp, when windows xp came out i dont even think sata was used yet...or even invented? But no i could switch all different kinds of motherboards, it just depends on if it has a south bridge that my xp already has drivers for, which in any sata users case is no, they have to preinstall the drivers during windows setup (the f6 option)
I think since I wont have the same sata controller installed that I will have to make a clean install again.
