Different Screens in One X and Evo 4G LTE?

Ladies, Gents,

Has anyone noticed a difference between the displays in the HTC One X and Evo 4G LTE? I've got both, and most everyone says they are identical. HTC's site says the Evo has an IPS display compared to the One X's Super LCD. Their press site says they both have Super LCD2 panels. Sprint says it's just Super LCD.

Now side by side, the Evo is definitely brighter, but the One X has better color saturation. It's a slight difference on both ends...brightness is fairly easy to see the difference when manually adjusting the screen's brightness or if you go outside in direct sunlight.

However, HTC's PR company just told me that according to their knowledge, the screens are identical. Every review except for mine (here) says the same. I don't have the hardware to prove any difference, and am waiting to hear back from HTC proper. In the meantime, has anyone else noticed this? Or am I perhaps going crazy and need to get my vision checked?

From the review on engadget I got the impression that it was the same phone, different design.

Thanks Accord, that was helpful but unfortunately didn't answer my question because the One X and Evo I've got use the same Sony panel.

Furthermore, HTC's PR firm confirmed that the two displays are identical. I don't agree myself, and asked to speak with an engineer to confirm a few things. The main difference is screen brightness - the Evo seems brighter, and easier to see outdoors, than the One X.

Anyone used both? It'd be a great help.
