I just don't do well on the "shape" tests. Dunno what it is. I just don't "get" what they want me to find different. In the standardized tests in grade school and high school, I would test out in the top 10 percentile in all other parts, but was in the 50th percentile or so when it came to the shape questions.

Problem with them is that I really couldn't find a way to improve myself with them. There really aren't many tutorials out there that help you solve these better. That, and the ACT/SAT didn't have them for part of the tests, so there really wasn't a whole lot of incenitve to improve either.

The last one is not too bad, it works like this:

There are three horizontal rows, each with three colors. Each row keeps its colors through the series, just rearranged.

row: white, black, gray
row: yellow, fuschia, red
row: green, blue, aqua

That last one is tricky... took me a moment to realize what they were doing.

The relationships are not based on the position of the cubes! If you're color blind then you won't be able to solve it. hint hint

I got 127 with deviation 16. I don't understand how everyone is getting scores higher than me, when I'm confident I got every answer right... even the last one! And 20 minutes of time to spare!

For some reason, I though the last one was easy. I'm pretty sure I got it right too.

127 here for 16, 140 for higher. And I was positive I got almost all of them!

The last 3 were a bitch, but I figured them out sooner than later. Ditto on the color arrangement, thats exactly how it works.

The one with the circles also was a bitch. Here's how it works: The dots on the outside are -1, the dots on the inside are +1. The third circle is the sum. 2 inside, 1 outside=1inside. The last one was 2 inside, 2 outside=0, no dots.

there was onlye one option of that... so i picked taht one.

I got 129 SD of 16 with like 2 min's remaining. I musta got a lot of correct answers but was slow in answering....

For the last one...
There are 9 colours, and 9 diff places where it can occur, thus the answer is the one where each colour hasn't occured yet.

BUT

The catch is that the 5th example, the one in the middle, is rotated 90 degrees, you can see this if you take note of the shadow of the square.

Once you see that, the answer should be pretty simple. I ended up with E.

Not sure the rotation mattered on the last one did it? Wasn't it simply every color had to be in every square once. Pattern came from how whoever filled it in, did it. Anyway that was what it seemed like to me.
