Different CAS timing

Would there be a problem if I mix rams with different CAS timings? Currently I have Corsair TWINX512-3200LLPT 512mb with CAS timings 2-3-2-6. I am planning to purchase some more ram and I am considering Corsairs pro series with CAS timings 2-2-2-5. I am curious if I am able to mix the pro series with the current ones i have now.

Probably, but you will have to run them both at the higher timings.

You shouldn't have any problems but both sticks will have to run at the slowest stick timings.

Sure works fine . . . i have 2 matched pairs of 2 x 256 MB each in Dual Channel - OCZ PC 3500 2-3-3-7 and Mushkin 2:3:3:6.

Of course, your current RAM may run at tighter timings to match the other stick if you're lucky
