Differences in nvidia driver performance...?

Just wanted to get some opinions about performance of different nvidia drivers. I noticed that with my oc'd ti4200 (41.09 driver) I got around 9700 3d2001 marks, while with the new 53 drivers i dropped to around 8900. wondering if this is an actual performance drop or just the fact that nvidia isn't "cheating" with the new drivers because i know there was some controversy over that. thanks.
 
Firingsquad has posted a lot of articles on new Detonator (now ForceWare) performance. Give them a look.

Anyway I think you'll find very little performance differences for the Ti line since det 44.03.
