differences between these PSUs?

EPS12V = 8 pin connector. Other one has a 4-pin connector. 8-pin is used on server (and AMD FX IIRC) mobos.

the EPS12V can still be used on a regular 939 board right?
 
They usually have 4p and 6p connectors, along with the 8p, so yes, it should work fine. If you download to manual for your mobo that you are planning on using, it will tell you what it needs. All the EPS12V PSUs I've had (5 now) have had 4p and 6p connectors, so you should be fine. (FYI: PSUs were Seasonic S-12 500w & 600w and Enermax 460w & 660w 24p EPS12V PSUs).
