Differences between Logitech G25 and G27

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but I thought I'd get better opinions here from the true gamers.

I can pick up a used g25 for about $180 or a new g27 at $250. Is there enough of an improvement for another $60 or would the used g25 suffice. I will be using it for such games as Dirt2, NFS-Shift, GTR series, Test Drive Unlimited and a few smaller titles.

From what I know these are the differences each one has:

G25:
Sequential Shifter (up and down to shift)
Thats it...

G27:
More buttons on wheel
RPM lights on wheel
Quieter SMOOTHER motors
No sequential shifter, just paddle and 6-speed shifter

I would say that if you are seriously considering a new wheel and will be using it for a while, go G27. G25 will work, and work well, no problems, but I like more features, better build, and more buttons.

Plus, if you dont mind buying use, which isnt bad, still covered under warranty, and these wheels are built to last...neither the G25 or G27 have been out long enough to have been really USED hard core or anything...then check out eBay...you can get a G27 lightly used for $200!

Man I want one of these new wheels...I have the Driving Force Pro, which has the 900 degree rotation, but the motors are LOUD and the wheel is smaller than the G25/27...too small really...

How was this moved? Is PC gaming only for software? My thread for the Sidewinder X8 has been pretty active and in the PC gaming section for a few days now...

So a sequential shifter means just pushing the shifter up to upshift and down to downshift instead of going through the gear gates individually like a real manual car?

Well, I should say that on the G25 you have a switch that basically "locks" the shifter into the mode...Im pretty sure though that the G27 could do the same kinda...Im thinking you could configure the controls in the games to have shift up be 3rd gear and shift down 4th gear...so you could just up and down then...just a thought, dont know if it would work and what not...dont see why not though...
