I ended up selling my 3570K and upgrading to the 3770 for VT-D purposes. On my AsRock Z68 motherboard I'm able to run all cores at 4.2/4.3 and with a small bclock bump it'll hit just over 4.4. At these speeds I don't miss my 3570K for gaming as it barely hit 4.4 itself.
Keep the 3770, it's a better chip and newer game engines will take advantage of the extra threads given the architecture of Sony and Microsoft's new gaming consoles.
