hi all, i'm trying to decide on the mobo i should get. as a matter of fact i'm still undecided about getting dual core or not (i do run various applications at once, so this would be helpful however i'm debating opting for single core at a faster speed)
anyway, i'm researching AMD compatible mobo's am going to address three of them here:
foxconn nfpik8aa-8ekrs
ASUS A8N-SLI
GIGABYTE GA-K8N
I'm trying to see what features justify the extra costs and if they make sense for me. (one thing i'm not to happy about is the com ports seem to be disappearing from motherboards). At any rate, what opinions do you guys have on the three i listed above and if the extra costs really makes sense?
few other questions:
-do the audio channels on the board matter if im purchasing a sound card or only matters when using onboard sound?
-north bridge (not sure what this is) in some specs list radeon or geforce etc. does this mean i should buy this type of graphix card? i'm pretty clueless as to what this is.
sorry if this post is confusing. i'm pretty confused myself and trying to make heads or tails of everything.
thanks!
