whoa what did they encode on this test.. it takes me like atleast hr:30-2hr to encode 30min mpg-1 to mpg-2

like everyone else says, no comparison here, this will be a huge difference particularly with the CPU intensive stuff you listed that it will be used for.

About 4-5x difference I'd say

However you might want to have 1GB of ram if you do video editing. I guess it's too late now you've already bought 2x256
