Flirting and hitting on a woman?

Came up in conversation with friends... I flirt a lot, most often unintentionally, but I don't think I normally hit on woman. Thoughts?

Hitting on is more of an intentional thing IMO.

I do the same as you though - always flirting unintentionally.

hitting on a woman is more aggressive than flirting. Flirting is supposed to be playful and both sides are supposed to participate.

i think flirting is being extra friendly and joking around and stuff... like stuff that you probl'y do subconsciously when there are cute girls around... while hitting on a girl is something like you're making a conscious effort to get her to feel good in general so she'll feel better towards you... dunno if that helps, cuz after re-reading it, i only kinda sorta got what i said

Exactly.

There's this new girl at work that's soso, and I talk to her, which usually ends up what you could consider flirting, and all of my co-workers are like "Damn you like her?"

And just like you I'm like WTF? I can tell she likes me, but I'm really not interested. 😱

I think I agree with Raynor and thawolfman, hitting on a woman is more aggressive, with more intent behind it.
