Sorry I am too lazy to read all these new articles, can someone just sum up what the difference is between Yonah and Conroe? I know they are both derived from the Pentium M architecture. These articles act like the Core architecture is brand new as of today, of course it is already in the new Macs. Or is the architecture of Conroe that much different than Yonah? OK, I'll stop revealing my ignorance right there. Thanks for any help guys.

Conroe is a good bit differant than Yonah. Conroe is 4 IPC design, Yonah is 3. Conroe has EM64T, yonah does not. Thats just a couple of the major differances, there are plenty more..

Yeah they're there... not techniques, but circuit tweaks. Not visible to the user. The user features (sleeps) are pretty cool too, but that is a macrofeature, as opposed to tweaks.
