Does anyone know the difference between Ti-83 and Ti83+? I tried to get some information through Texasinstrument, but their site is temporarely down.

I think the only difference is Ti-83+ has more memory and better processor.. true?

Do they have same buttons and stuff though?

Thanks, any helps are appreciated.

i have the 83+ and its almost identicial to the 83 mabye a cople more features but nothing signifigent

Get the 83+ if you can because it will make things simplier in class because you will have the same calculator as everyone else.

Get the 89 so your calculator does your work for you through Calculus. Shame the schools use the 83 and 86..

Yeah, but, if he wants to follow along in class it wont make a difference if he has an 83 or an 83+.

If he gets an 89 he will be able to do much more then everyone with an 83, but also have a much higher learning curve.

The TI-83 has has now been supplanted by the TI-83 Plus, an updated model. The TI-83 Plus is nearly identical to the TI-83, maintaining backwards compatibility but greatly increasing available memory and allowing for flash-upgradable ROM and commercial calculator-based applications.
