Difference between pc100 and pc66@pc100

Is there any difference in speed if you use pc66 and run it at pc100 rather than using pc100 ram?

only that pc100 is certified to run at that speed. Also that pc100 is most likely to be able to handle a higher speed bus. And handle a lower CAS rating.

Given that the 66 Mhz memory runs flawlessly at 100 MHz, there is no difference. Same thing with 100 @ 133, 133 @ 150, etc.

Generally you will find that PC66 SDRAM is rated at 10ns.....it should be able to handle 100MHz.....I have several strips of PC66 that do 100MHz with no problem.

PC100 SDRAM is simply guaranteed to run at 100MHz.....have a look at some of the older PC100 Hyundai SDRAM.....the chips were the same as the PC66 SDRAM, except the contents of the SPD were different.

No difference in performance if you have them set to the same Cas settings and clock speed. Only difference would be the PC100 memory might be more stable.
