R6700 - ------------------------------------------- Nighthawk

Dual Band (450+ 1300Mbps) --------------Dual Band (600 + 1300)

1 USB 3.0 ----------------------------------------1 USB 3.0 + 1 USB 2.0

Thre is the same

In other owed if you need only one USB you can buy the 6700 and save about $40

Personally (if you want fancy) I would go with this - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018DFUJV8?psc=1 (scroll down for the specs table).

I really don't care about having USB. I mean sure that is nice and I might use that once in awhile but if it didn't have any USB ports that would be fine. They look almost identical to me but the price is different and wanted to know if one would outperform the other one or have more coverage.

I don't care about fancy. I care about coverage and having one that suits my needs. 2 TVs with Rokus that will be streaming at the same time, a tablet and a computer. The furthest device from the modem would be 150 feet max. I figured AC1750 would be plenty of speed and that would leave room to expand a few more devices. Am I right amount that? How many Mbps does it take for that? The tablet is usually for browsing and little games and some video. The computer does some gaming, internet browsing, email and video watching. Shouldn't a 700 Mbps be fast enough for that?

I was looking at the ASUS RT-AC66 and TP-Link Archer C7.

In most cases of indoor, unless it is almost totally opened environment, No one device (no matter what the vendor "Propaganda" claims) would cover 150 feet.

So, get and Archer C7 install it and if it does not rich get a second one and use it as an Access Point).

Using Wireless Routers (or Modem/Wireless Router) as a Switch with an Access Point - http://www.ezlan.net/router_AP.html

I got that 150 feet from when I measured the distance from the cable modem to the furthest device. I was going to buy some CAT 6 cable. What the straight line distance would be, I am not sure.

Happy Thanksgiving every one. I measured it and I was way off. It's 30 feet lol. So that shouldn't be a problem for a good router right? A good AC1750. That's around $100 and should be good enough for the devices in the house unless someone thinks I need more.

Any of the three mentioned will do what you want. It doesn't sound like you want to do anything like alt firmware or anything so I would get the Archer C7 without a second thought.
