difference between microsd and transflash

Hello,

I was wondering if transflash and microsd are the same.

i looked at the wiki entry, and there seems to be a contadiction that transflash was renamed microsd

and at the same time it says that microsd supports NFC whilst transflash does not.

perhaps what it means is that the older version of microsd aka transflash does not support NFC.
and the new version supports it.
